As adults, we often forget the power of play. We become so caught up in the day-to-day stresses of life that we forget how to have fun and let loose. But did you know that incorporating creative play into your life can actually help raise your vibration and improve your overall well-being? According to experts, engaging in the creative process can help to raise your energy and vibration.

Marie Engelsford, a creative arts therapist, emphasises the importance of creative expression in raising your vibration. Engaging in the creative process can help to release blocked emotions and promote a sense of well-being. She encourages individuals to embrace their creative spirit and allow their intuition to guide them in the process. By doing so, you can tap into your inner child and unlock your full potential.

Art can also be used as a tool to raise the vibration of your home. Feng shiu expert, Grace Niu, suggests incorporating artworks that align with your energy and intentions. She advises selecting artwork that reflects your personal style and resonates with your energy. This can help to create a harmonious environment that promotes positive energy and well-being.

In addition, artist and author Robert Ongley explains that the act of creating art can help to raise your vibration and connect you with the universe. He describes the creative process as a form of meditation that allows you to access higher levels of consciousness. By tapping into your creativity, you can awaken your spiritual energy and connect with the world around you.

Artist and energy healer, J. Miriam Storm, also believes in the power of art to raise your vibration. She describes the creative process as a form of energy that vibrates at a high frequency. By engaging in the creative process, you can raise your own energetic frequency and attract positive experiences and people into your life.

Incorporating creative play into your daily routine doesn’t have to be a big production. It can be as simple as taking a few minutes each day to doodle or colour in a colouring book. Or, if you’re feeling more adventurous, you could take a dance class or join a local community theatre group.

Here are a few more tips for incorporating creative play into your daily routine:

Make time for it: Set aside a specific time each day to engage in creative play. This could be first thing in the morning, during your lunch break, or in the evening before bed.

Let go of perfectionism: Don’t worry about creating a masterpiece. The point of creative play is to let loose and have fun, not to create a perfect work of art.

Try something new: Don’t be afraid to try something new. Taking a class or trying a new form of creative expression can be a great way to expand your horizons and tap into your creativity.

Don’t judge yourself: Remember, the point of creative play is to have fun and let loose. Don’t judge yourself or worry about what others might think. This is your time to connect with yourself and let your inner child shine.

Incorporating creative play into your daily routine can be a powerful tool for raising your vibration and improving your overall well-being. So, don’t be afraid to let loose and have some fun. Your inner child will thank you!

The electromagnetic spectrum is a range of electromagnetic radiation that includes all the types of waves with different frequencies and wavelengths.

These waves are fundamental to our lives, as they power our devices and enable communication over long distances. However, many people are concerned about the potential health risks associated with some types of electromagnetic radiation, such as EMF radiation. In this article, we will provide a brief introduction to the electromagnetic spectrum and its different types of waves.

The electromagnetic spectrum is divided into several types of waves, each with different frequencies and wavelengths. From high to low frequency, the waves are:

Gamma rays: These are the highest frequency and highest energy waves in the electromagnetic spectrum. Gamma rays are generated by nuclear reactions and radioactive decay, and can be harmful to humans in high doses.

X-rays: These waves have a slightly lower frequency than gamma rays, but are still high-energy waves that can penetrate through solid objects. X-rays are commonly used in medical imaging but can be harmful in high doses.

Ultraviolet (UV) rays: These waves have a higher frequency than visible light and can cause skin damage and other health problems in high doses. UV rays are also responsible for sunburns and are the reason why we wear sunscreen.

Visible light: This is the part of the spectrum that our eyes can see. It includes all the colours of the rainbow and is responsible for lighting up our world.

Infrared (IR) radiation: These waves have lower frequencies than visible light and are commonly used in heat lamps and remote controls. They can cause skin burns in high doses.

Microwave radiation: These waves have a lower frequency than IR radiation and are used in microwave ovens, wireless communication, and radar. They can cause heating effects in the body and are of concern to some people due to their association with EMF radiation.

Radio waves: These are the lowest frequency and lowest energy waves in the electromagnetic spectrum. They are used for radio and television communication, cell phone networks, and other forms of wireless communication.

Electromagnetic fields (EMF) are created by the movement of charged particles, such as electrons. EMF radiation is a type of non-ionizing radiation that is generated by electric and magnetic fields. While non-ionizing radiation is not strong enough to ionize atoms or molecules, it can still cause damage to human tissues and cells in high doses. Some people are concerned about the potential health risks of long-term exposure to EMF radiation, particularly from cell phones, Wi-Fi networks, and other wireless devices.

In conclusion, the electromagnetic spectrum is a vast range of waves that power our modern world. While some forms of electromagnetic radiation can be harmful in high doses, many are essential for our daily lives. It’s important to be aware of the different types of waves and their potential risks and benefits, especially for those who are concerned about their health and want to educate themselves on the topic. We invite you to more about the nature-based, wellbeing-promoting waves produced by Blushield devices, and how they work.

When we speak about love, we don’t just mean romantic love between intimate partners. Love can be shared with friends, love can mean affection toward others in a platonic way, and we can also practice self-love. Love means to feel and experience a sense of care, connection, and commitment towards another. From a scientific lens, love is a powerful chemical and neurological condition – and therefore not something you can necessarily control.

According to the ancient Greeks, there are eight types of love, namely:

Eros (sexual passion)

Philia (deep friendship)

Ludus (playful love, flirting)

Agape (love for everyone, unconditional love)

Pragma (longstanding, committed love)

Philautia (love of the self, self-love)

Storge (family love, natural affection)

Mania (obsessive love)

Which of these types of love do you practice daily?

Being in love, or experiencing love, has an impact on both our brains and our bodies. We all know that being in love can feel amazing, but according to science, love can actually be beneficial to your overall health. Let’s investigate some benefits and symptoms of love further:

People in loving relationships have a lower death rate compared to their single friends. (Luckily – this can count for close friendships too!)

Higher self-esteem, which in turn lowers risk of depression

Reduction in anxiety

Lower risk of heart disease or death by heart attack – “One theory explains this finding by citing improved function of the autonomic nervous system, which controls bodily functions like heart rate, in people who are married or in love,” – Dr. Kilical

Lower stress levels

Improved mood

Lower risk of diabetes

Lower blood pressure, cortisol, and adrenalin

Improved immune system

Quicker recovery from illness

Pain relief

When we think of love, the heart is usually the first thing that comes to mind. But the brain is actually equally, or more, important in the feelings of love we experience. Being in love produces two main chemicals or endorphins. Oxytocin (the “bonding hormone”) is produced when you first meet someone you are interested in, giving us that well known ‘fluttery’ feeling. Oxytocin continues to feature in a loving relationship to strengthen bonds and feelings of attachment, safety, and trust. Dopamine, the neurotransmitter responsible for feelings of euphoria, also fires up when we experience love.

We are social creatures, so we function best when we have strong social support systems. This doesn’t have to mean a typical marriage or intimate relationship – the benefits of love can also be reaped from close positive relationships with friends or family. This can be practiced with something as simple as a hug. Research suggests that “four hugs per day was an antidote for depression, eight hugs per day would achieve mental stability and twelve hugs per day would achieve real psychological growth.” Hugs are also documented as correlating with decreased experiences of illness.

Zita Oravecz, assistant professor of human development and family studies says:

“Everyday ‘felt love’ is conceptually much broader than romantic love, it’s those micromoments in your life when you experience resonance with someone. For example, if you’re talking to a neighbour and they express concern for your well‑being, then you might resonate with that and experience it as a feeling of love, and that might improve your well‑being.”

So, take the time to invest in daily hugs, love, and friendship. It costs you nothing, but can have a priceless benefit on your health and wellbeing.

It’s the month of love and we are exploring all matters of the heart (and mind!) with an message of positive EMF and internal resistance. Did you know that love has a frequency?

528 Hz is recognised as the love frequency, miracle tone, or frequency of transformation, and is one of the Solfeggio frequencies, which we have spoken about in our blog on Medicinal Music. As a quick reminder, the Solfeggio Frequencies were used by Gregorian monks in chanting and singing for their healing properties, due to a positive effect of EMF and internal resistance.

So how can this frequency used in ancient civilisation have a positive impact in your life?

Firstly it’s been shown that the frequency has a certain kind of a deep-rooted natural relationship with nature, a natural EMF and internal resistance so to speak, of coherence. The frequency is found in almost everything, ranging from human DNA to chlorophyll. It has proven health benefits and mathematical significance. 528 Hz frequency is utilised by chlorophyll, allowing plants to draw energy from natural light and turning leaves green. When we fall sick, we tend to take more greens, and thanks to the 528 Hz frequency, chlorophyll is actually the most effective and powerful healing pigments. Breathable air is made up of 528 Hz as oxygen is a carrier of the 528 Hz resonating electrons. Bees even pollinate flowers by buzzing at 528 Hz.

“528 Hz is essential to the geometry of circles and spirals consistent with DNA structuring and hydrosonic restructuring. Evidence suggests that 528 Hz has the potential to affect cellular water clusters and remove impurities to prevent sickness and disease.”

According to Dr. Leonard Horowitz, the love frequency of 528 Hz is central to the “musical mathematical matrix of creation.” You can listen to it here. (hint – use headphones to be fully immersed!). Alternatively, listen to John Lennon’s Imagine – which was famously composed in 528 Hz.

“Vic Showell and John Stuart Reid (a pioneer in acoustic research and cymatic measurements) have proven that 528 Hz is essential to the sacred geometry of circles and spirals consistent with DNA structuring and hydrosonic restructuring. That’s why 528 Hz is also known as DNA repair frequency. 528 Hz is the bioenergy of health and longevity. It is the harmonic vibration that lifts your heart and divine voice in harmony with heaven.”

The love frequency has many benefits and uses, including:

Strengthening your connection to your heart

Assists with healing and repair of the body and mind, even at a DNA level

Manifestation and transformation

Clarity of mind

Increased creativity

Activates intention and intuition

Connection to the universal vibration frequency

Much like how plants best grow with some level of resistance, to grow strong, a usage of EMF and internal resistance allows for a greater expression of love through a centering within this coherent field.

Madison Borland states that the “528 Hz frequency is a sensational tone that has been used since ancient civilisations to manifest miracles, bring blessings, and harness a healing property.”

There have been numerous studies done to investigate how the love frequency can impact and benefit our DNA through cellular repair. Studies done on water exposed to the frequency suggest that 528 Hz can be used to remove impurities – and since our bodies are made of approximately 60% water, it stands to reason that the love frequency can positively benefit our biology too, as well as our physiology, while support to EMF and internal resistance is improved.

We hope that you will find an opportunity to connect with his life affirming frequency this month and bring more healing, transformation and creativity to your life.

We previously spoke about how the frequency of your food affects the frequency of your body.

To recap, expert nutritionists maintain that eating the right food can elevate your mood in the short and long term. This is both physiological and psychological. In the short term, making sure that your blood sugars stay at a healthy level and do not skyrocket and plummet on a sugar roller-coaster will make you feel good and have high energy. In the longer term – good food contributes to a disease free and healthy body, which more often than not leads to better mood. Some foods can also increase levels of hormones such as serotonin in your body – which contribute to emotional wellbeing.

Today we’d like to share some recipe ideas that incorporate high vibrational foods:

Excuse the pun, but what on Earth is Planetary Health? Join us as we zoom out and delve into the field, and investigate planetary electromagnetic pollution.

Planetary health as a concept was coined in 2015 by a collaborative document by The Rockefeller Foundation (one of the largest charity organisations in the world) and The Lancet (one of the world’s leading medical journals) entitled “Safeguarding human health in the Anthropocene epoch: report of The Rockefeller Foundation-Lancet Commission on planetary health.” Quite a mouthful! But you can chew on that article here.

John Drake from the University of Georgia says that “The premise of planetary health is that human well-being over the long-term depends on the well-being of the earth, including both its living and nonliving systems.” Human health at the time of the commission (before the emergence of Covid-19) was at an all time high – with life expectancy rates better than they’ve ever been. But the commission warned that this has come at the cost of the planet’s health – through exploiting the earth’s resources.

We might think of our own personal health as the most important. Public health, however, zooms out one step to that of our community, while global health is cognisant of the fact that different communities experience different barriers to health. The idea of one health includes the earth’s animals and natural systems. Planetary health “takes this delocalisation of health one step further.” The UN’s Framework Convention on Climate Change borrows from ideas on planetary health, recognising that:

“human health and the health of our planet are inextricably linked, and that our civilisation depends on human health, flourishing natural systems, and the wise stewardship of natural resources.”

The Lancet has also written extensively on the impact of planetary electromagnetic pollution on planetary health. Just like our natural resources can be polluted on a community level, so too can the planet as a whole experience pollution. The Lancet states that we should consider “the blanket of radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation, largely microwave radiation generated for wireless communication and surveillance technologies, as mounting scientific evidence suggests that prolonged exposure to radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation has serious biological and health effects.”

The report continues:

“At a time when environmental health scientists tackle serious global issues such as climate change and chemical toxicants in public health, there is an urgent need to address so-called electrosmog. A genuine evidence-based approach to the risk assessment and regulation of anthropogenic electromagnetic fields will help the health of us all, as well as that of our planetary home. Some government health authorities have recently taken steps to reduce public exposure to radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation by regulating use of wireless devices by children and recommending preferential use of wired communication devices in general, but this ought to be a coordinated international effort.”

We recently celebrated World Environment Day. As we continue to observe World Environment Month, we should protect our environment by standing up against EMF pollution. It may be invisible but it is unnatural manmade pollution that is affecting all biological organisms on the planet.

“Change the environments you inhabit to better serve you, and your body will take on the positive energy created through the perception of your new surroundings”

Your skin and your brain are more alike than you may think. Did you know that your environment has an effect on the healing of your cells? This Frequency Friday we are looking at how our outer environments affect our inner wellbeing and healing.

“After an egg is fertilised and embryo development begins, the first tissue to form is the ectoderm. The word comes from the Greek ektos, which means “outside” and derma, meaning “skin.” The ectoderm, or outermost layer of the embryo, gives rise to both the epidermis (your outermost layer of skin) and the brain.”

Dr. Sadeghi asks us to think about the connection between the brain and the skin, as they are made from the same core material, suggesting that they may act in similar ways.

Your skin and its receptors are able to pick up on your reaction to your environment, and send these messages to your cells.

“Interestingly, the word perception is defined as “awareness of elements of the environment through physical sensation.” It’s our perception of the environments we inhabit that are driving our cells in a positive or negative direction.”

When our perception of our environment is a negative one, the message sent to our cells is that of fight or flight. In this state, activities elevating nourishment and rebuilding stop.

On the other hand, if we perceive our environment in a positive light, messages are sent to our cells that we are safe and secure, and healing can resume.

Continue reading here:

“Human beings are electrically positive and our earth is electrically negative, put the two together and you create a harmoniously balanced circuit.”

In electrical engineering, earthing is defined as “the process in which the…discharge of electrical energy takes place by transferring charges directly to the earth…” Electrical systems are earthed so that charges from devices and appliances are shared with the earth; protecting us through grounding them.

Earthing, also known as grounding, is also a well-being trend, which has caught the attention of the scientific and medical community. Earthing involves walking barefoot on any natural surface (soil, grass, sand, etc). When our feet are able to directly touch the earth, we come into contact with the Earth’s own natural charge and our body is able to pick up free ions from the earth’s surface that act as antioxidants in our systems, this partly explains why we feel so good when we are barefoot.

We know that our bodies are electrical systems too. Dr. Carrasco of Nourish Medicine explains that “the earth is also electrical in nature and provides us with an unlimited supply of health-promoting and grounding negatively-charged electrons. These electrons act as antioxidants.” The connection between ourselves and the planet’s electrons can reap many health benefits through the transfer from electrons from the ground into the body.

The Earthing Institute, a study and endeavour spearheaded in the 1960s by Dr Karol Pawel Solak (Poland) and Dr Clint Ober (USA) has produced “fascinating evidence of a powerful and positive shift in the electrical state of the body and the electrodynamics of blood, and a boost to self-healing and self-regulating mechanisms.”

Wellbeing benefits of walking barefoot include:

– Reduction in inflammation

– Decreased insomnia (helps stabilise circadian rhythms)

– Controls blood pressure (reduces stress levels)

– Boosts energy levels

– Assists in reducing chronic pain (the electrons in the earth enrich our own immune system)

– Improves posture (which decreases other aches and pains)

– Moderates heart rate variability

– Supports immune function

– Regulates endocrine and nervous systems

– Increases surface charge of red blood cells – which in turn decreases blood viscosity

Dr. Carrasco recommends at least 20 minutes a day of earthing to reap these benefits. So kick off your shoes and get your feet in the dirt! Lie on the grass or do some gardening, or take a walk on the beach. As well as the benefits of walking barefoot – walking itself and spending time in nature comes with its own array of health benefits that we have previously explored.

It is said that nothing shifts your mood and frequency faster than music.

We have all felt the emotional shift that occurs when listening to different types of music – we can become both melancholic and overjoyed – and this is because of music’s ability to both raise and lower our frequencies and vibration. But why?

One of the primary and key characteristics of music is rhythm. Rhythm is repetition and for all earth’s inhabitants this principle is fundamental for life – we see this in natural cycles such as seasonal, lunar, solar, and our daily rhythms. Our lives have evolved around these natural rhythms. Our bodies are also governed by their own rhythms – those of breath, heartbeat, and brainstem activity. Rhythms can communicate bio-information that govern bodily functions and influence health and wellbeing.

All of these natural rhythms and oscillations of our planet “make up the symphony of rhythms in which life on Earth exists.”

Humans have been making music for at least the last 40 000 years. The oldest known musical instrument is a flute made from a vulture’s wing bone – discovered in a cave in southern Germany. Although we can’t say for certain when humans began listening to music, we do know why we do. Music gives us pleasure and expression and has the ability to improve our health and wellbeing in many ways, as there is a deep link between music, neurobiology, and our emotions. Did you know music can do the following?

– Modulate several cardiac and neurological functions
– Reduce stress levels
– Boost immune function
– Modulate blood pressure, heart rate, respiration
– Connects us – aids social cohesion, is a communication tool and a way to express our longing for connection with the divine
– Leads to better learning – stimulates brain and mind-body
– Improves memory – slows cognitive decline
– Help treat mental illness – literally changes the brain, releases neurochemicals to feel good, regulate stress, connect to others etc (dopamine / less cortisol / serotonin / oxytocin)
– Lower lower symptoms of anxiety and depression
– Regulate mood
– Help manage pain

It is however important to be selective about choosing the right genres of music to reap the most benefits from your listening and increase your vibration. The tone and pitch of the music influences its vibrational frequency and how your brain responds to these (more on this later!). The tempo or speed of the music also affects its vibrational frequency – faster sounds tend to vibrate higher and stimulate concentration, while slower beats aid in creating a meditative state. As well as tone and tempo, the lyrics of the music, if any, can affect your mood. Positive words vibrate higher than negative ones.

As well as influencing mood and emotions, music can be used as a method of healing. Sound healing or music therapy is a field of therapy used to improve both physical and emotional wellbeing. It can involve activities such as listening or singing along to music, moving and dancing to music, or playing a musical instrument. Sound healing as a type of therapy dates back to ancient Greece, where music was used as a treatment for mental conditions.

Sufi musician, healer and mystic, Hazrat Inayat Khan says:

“A person does not hear sound only through the ears; he hears sound through every pore of his body. It permeates the entire being, and according to its particular influence either slows or quickens the rhythm of the blood circulation; it either wakens or soothes the nervous system. It arouses a person to greater passions or it calms him by bringing him peace. According to the sound and its influence a certain effect is produced. Sound becomes visible in the form of radiance. This shows that the same energy which goes into the form of sound before being visible is absorbed by the physical body. In that way the physical body recuperates and becomes charged with new magnetism.”

As well as using music to raise your frequency by listening to songs that make you feel good, there are various frequencies we can tune in to to reap even greater benefits. Two ways to do this are through listening to Solfeggio frequencies and binaural beats.

Solfeggio frequencies tune in to tones that promote wellbeing in body and mind. They are believed to be the fundamental sounds used in chants by Gregorian Monks and in ancient Sanskrit. Dr. Joseph Puleo rediscovered them in the 1970s using mathematical research to identify six measurable frequencies. Solfeggio frequencies resonate in harmony with the Schumann Resonance of 7.83Hz, which is known as the natural frequency of the Earth.

The six main Solfeggio frequencies can be summarised as follows:

432Hz – calming, encourages peace and general wellbeing
528Hz – energizing, stress reducing, could aid in healing the body
396Hz – decreases feelings of worry and anxiety
639Hz – elevates mood through promoting communication and understanding
741Hz – promote self-expression and intuition
852Hz – supports positive thinking and inner strength

Visit this Youtube channel to listen to some Solfeggio frequencies.

Binaural beats are similar to Solfeggio frequencies in the benefits for wellbeing that they have. ‘Binaural’ means relating to both ears. Binaural beats are produced through an auditory illusion of listening to two different but similar frequencies in each ear. An example of this is having a 400Hz tone in one ear and a 410Hz tone in the other. The brain tries to reconcile the tones – producing a third perceived tone. In this case that would be 10Hz. If you listen to a binaural beat for long enough, activity in the brain starts to match the frequency of the third perceived tone. This is called brainwave entrainment, and is used by people wanting to ‘hack’ their brain to achieve a target mental state.

We previously learned about the range of 5 brain waves that can be accessed through meditation – one is also able to search for the binaural beat of the desired frequency to tap into these brain states. Binaural beats enable you to nudge your brain activity into the desired frequency – if you need to complete a task with focus you might want to try a gamma or beta wave, and if you are struggling to fall asleep a theta or delta frequency might aid your insomnia.

You can find an example of a 40Hz binaural beat, recommended for concentration and memory, here – with many more to discover on YouTube.

The next time you enjoy listening to your favourite music, we hope that you will recall all of the health benefits too, for music is proven to support our bodies in so many ways, from healing, shifting our mood, improving memory, alleviating stress and even connecting us to the divine.

Breath is a vitally important tool in changing our mindset and thus our frequency, and intentional breathing comes with many other proven health benefits.

Our bodies are home to many oscillating systems that are repetitive and ever changing. Breath is one of the few of these systems that is actually under our control. Did you know that changing and experimenting with the speed, style, and depth of our breath influences the wellbeing and functioning of our bodies, and is a quick way to reset your vibration. Dr Rosalba Courtney (PhD and Functional Breathing Therapist) states that “breathing has the ability to entrain, organise and regulate other oscillating systems (such as our heart beat), helping them to also oscillate at their optimal (resonance) frequency.”

One type of breathing we can use to regulate our physiology is resonance frequency breathing (RFB). You may have come across this style of breathing, or other slow breathing practices, in yoga or meditation classes. RFB is the practice of slow and deep diaphragmatic breathing at approximately 3 – 7 breaths a minute – yes it is possible to take only so many breaths in a minute!

Research into RFB is relatively new, beginning in the 1990s. However, humans have known about this type of breathing instinctively for hundreds of years; certain hymns, chants, and prayers produce resonant frequency breathing when spoken.

Some of the benefits of resonance frequency breathing include:

Blood pressure regulation

Calms the body’s fight or flight response

Decreased symptoms of anxiety, depression, and panic disorder

Increases activity in parasympathetic nervous system and vagus nerve

This type of breathing also has an effect on our heart rate. A key marker of one’s health and mood is heart rate variability – or the amount of time between consecutive heartbeats and how that metric varies. An excerpt from the study The Impact of Resonance Frequency Breathing on Measures of Heart Rate Variability, Blood Pressure, and Mood by researchers at the Brigham Young University states:

Heart rate and breathing synchronize, or become resonance, at about 6 breaths/min (0.1 Hz). Each person has a unique Resonant Frequency breathing rate, ranging typically between 4.5 and 7.0 breaths/min.

Breathing at your resonance frequency can therefore assist in synchronizing not only the respiratory, but also cardio-vascular, cardio-respiratory, and autonomic nervous systems – resulting in a better and more efficiently functioning body.

Take time during your day to practice slowing down and being intentional about your breathing – every slow breath and moment of pause will shift the way you feel.
